While I don't really care for celebrating my own birthday it does make for a great excuse to do something outside of the norm. It's also an excellent excuse to enact friendship obligation to force your friends to something they normally wouldn't do. This
birthday was no different.
I've made some great memories with friends at the race track in Del Mar and added a few new race tracks to my repertoire throughout the years. Singapore is known for having a active and impressive track so I figured what better place to spend my birthday than with friends at the Singapore Turf Club? We had a great showing of 16 people and had a blast betting on the ponies. I must give credit to my friends True Blue and Chanel Sonoma gifting me a birthday card containing $100 under the auspice that it could only be used to bet that evening. The first bet I placed won a trifecta! My $15 bet turned into $165. While not everyone walked away with a fatter wallet we had a great time and everyone left a winner.
